There is no Spoon

When our joy comes

Not from this world

But from the source of joy

Then, when stuck in this world

When the rain comes down

When troubles come

Still, we have joy, we have peace

For even when the agents come

We know the truth

There is no spoon

That last line is so thought-provoking. I’m not sure if I understand it but it makes me think of being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Thanks for this.

      Thank you for reading!

The fun part is that it can mean whatever you want it to mean. I like to write that way, a poem can mean something completely obvious to me & something completely different to everyone else who reads it & none of those meanings are wrong, it is just interpretation of the art.

It is actually a line from the movie The Matrix.

The context I was applying it is that those who are in the Kingdom, those who find their peace in the Lord Jesus Christ, are not of this world. So while the atrocities of our present finite realities may seem insurmountable. The eternal reality of the kingdom suggests that present evil does not even exist, for the battle is already won, we are already in the kingdom, just visiting this world.
